TSC Barbarians Masters Team Swim and Drink Their Way to 4th Place - 14 Tonbridge Masters assisted by 3 Sevenoaks and 1 Dartford Masters (aka "TSC Barbarians”) attended the Frank Rider gala hosted by Erith & District SC on 23rd March 2014.
Last year we were short of swimmers and came a (disappointing) 6th in this gala.
This year however we came a creditable 4th beating Saxon Crown and an Erith B team, whist finishing close behind RTW.
Winners (Romford) and second place (Erith) were represented by swimmers ranked no.1 in the UK and, in the case of Romford, a Commonwealth Games qualifier!! Surely they were missing the point of the gala …. to get less experienced Masters swimming and then go to the pub!
Fair to say I reckon we were well represented in the pub and held our reputation up high!
Thanks go again to our hosts Erith & District for combining a competitive (yet fun) gala with a great social get together afterwards.

SER Masters Champs at K2 Crawley on 1st / 2nd Feb 2014 - Tonbridge Masters return with a haul of 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 10 Bronze medals together with 8 new Club Records and a startling potential 16 Kent County Masters Records (subject to verification).
